Your letter rack and search results
The word finder processes your entered letters and filters locally in your browser using a downloaded English dictionary. The solving code does not upload your rack to us or to a word-solving service. There is no account system or payment process for the tool.
Search inputs and results are held in the current page’s memory and are cleared when the page is reloaded. This statement concerns the solving code, not the separate network requests made by advertising, hosting, or font resources.
Website requests and third-party resources
When you load a website, its hosting and delivery services receive technical information such as an IP address, requested URL, request time, and browser request headers. These requests support delivery, reliability, and security. Hosting providers may maintain their own operational logs under their policies.
Our styles load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser may contact Google’s font servers to fetch those files, exposing technical request information including your IP address. We do not currently install a separate Google Analytics tracking tag in the word finder.
External links open services with their own privacy practices. We do not control the data collection of those services. Review their policies before submitting information to them.
Usage analytics
When analytics is enabled for the published website, Replit-hosted analytics records page visits and limited usage events, including completed searches, searches with no matches, loading or matching failures, input-validation errors, options opened, example selections, and resets.
Our custom events contain counts, timings, whether filters are active, predefined example identifiers, and fixed error categories. They do not contain your letter rack, filter text, returned words, email address, or other free-form input.
We use this information to understand reliability and usability. The hosting analytics service may process technical visit information under its own privacy practices. Analytics is separate from Google advertising and is not required to perform a word search.
Your ad choices
You can manage or opt out of Google personalized advertising through Google’s ad settings. You can also use industry opt-out services for participating third-party vendors. These controls are provided by those services and do not necessarily remove advertisements or all data processing.
Your browser may let you block or delete cookies and restrict tracking. These settings can affect this or other websites. Deleting cookies may remove previously saved choices, and some controls apply only to a particular browser or device.
Where an advertising consent message is displayed, use its controls to make or change your choices. Simply using this website does not constitute consent to personalized advertising. Availability of a consent message depends on the consent platform configured for the site and the applicable region.
For visitors in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, Google requires a certified consent platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework for personalized advertising. A privacy notice alone does not gather that consent.
Email correspondence and retention
If you contact us by email, we receive the address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that correspondence to answer your question, investigate a reported issue, or address a privacy request. Your email provider and our email service may process the message under their own policies.
We retain correspondence only as needed for these purposes and applicable legal obligations. We do not publish a fixed retention period for all messages or third-party technical logs. Avoid sending sensitive information that is not necessary for your request.
Rights, legal bases, and children
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, or complain to a relevant data protection authority. Contact support@getunscrambler.com so we can assess a request relating to information we control.
Where applicable, we rely on legitimate interests for operating and securing the website and answering routine correspondence, legal obligations where required, and consent for advertising or storage activities that legally require consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
We do not ask children to create accounts or submit personal details, and the service is not specifically directed at children under 13. If you believe a child sent personal information to our contact address, please contact us. Do not include additional sensitive details unnecessarily.
